STEVE BLOOM (Screenwriter) co-wrote, with Jonathan Roberts, "James and the Giant Peach" and "The Sure Thing." Born in Buffalo, New York, Bloom attended Brown University, where he first met Roberts. After one year, he relocated to Los Angeles in 1980 to attend the University of Southern California Film School. While at USC, Bloom collaborated with Roberts on a film treatment about their college days. The result was "The Sure Thing," which lived up to its title by selling almost immediately to director Rob Reiner.
Bloom's additional screen credits include work on the films "Like Father, Like Son" and "Tall Tale: The Unbelievable Adventures of Pecos Bill."
